Currently six inspection functions/packages are available for the AE20 (see below). Your AE20 comes with the Colour Area Measurement package installed, but you can easily upload any other package via the USB port. Updating to the latest firmware version is just as easy. Both the upload tool and the firmware packages can be installed with AETOOL, which you can download free of charge from the internet.
| 1. Colour Area Measurement
Register a certain colour and measure its area on the inspection object. |
2. Colour Differentiation
Detect which colour is closest to the colour registered. Up to 7 colours can be defined. |
3. Colour Pattern Matching
Detects colours and patterns on the object which matches the template registered. |
Presence check, object differentiation, size measurement, etc. |

Position detection, presence check, object identification, etc. |

| 4. Edge Detection
Detects the position of a horizontal or vertical edge and outputs its co-ordinates. |
5. Corner Detection
Detects the position of a corner and outputs its coordinates. |
6. Size Measurement
Detects the size (max. and min.) of an object. |
